WE WELCOME YOU TO JOIN HANDS FOR DREAM PROJECT
ECO FARM & ORPHANAGE HOME
Dear Friends,
We have undertaken the challenge to build and develop a self-sustaining Eco Farm
and Orphanage Home approximately 35 kilometers east from Katmandu city and 3 kilometers
further east beyond the beautiful ancient medieval town of Panauti.
The urban population explosion in Katmandu valley where half a million+ vehicles
ply the streets every day destroying the peaceful environment with high percentage
of Carbon Dioxide emission into the atmosphere polluting the very air that we breathe,
the ever-sky rocketing market price pushing the cost of living upwards, the heavily
polluted rivers, the poor water supply system, inevitable electricity power outage,
scarcity of safe drinking water, lack of peaceful environment and the ever-increasing
unlawful activities aggravated by the ‘inadequate funds’ for running the orphanage
in this capital city has prompted us to seek greener pastures outside this concrete
jungle for bringing up the orphaned children in a clean, healthy and beautiful environment.
The location is in a much greener, serene and natural environment with plenty of
fresh and crisp air, plentiful clean drinking water and easy availability of fresh
vegetables and farm produce at almost half the price than that of Katmandu, a range
of fairly good quality and affordable schools and educational institutes and health
posts and medical clinic all within a walking distance from the Eco Home have further
encouraged us to build the Eco Farm Home in this excellent location.
The constant electricity power outage affecting the children’s education, water
heating system and lack of decent drinking, bathing and cleaning water besides the
sky rocketing prices of living in Katmandu valley, etc., all added up and hence
encouraged us to seek the professional support and assistance from Engineer Jai
RajBhandari our Project Chief who is an Eco Environmental Specialist since the past
20+ years!!
By going out of Katmandu valley, we decided to go for a bigger plot of land with
spacious adjacent community land where children could get plenty of space to run,
play and grow. The idea of having a solar powered water heating and lighting system,
provide plenty of clean drinking water, introducing Rain Water Harvesting system,
building a mini Bio-Gas facility that could help save almost a third of the cooking
gas expenses and developing an Organic Fruit and Vegetable Garden by using Compost
prepared from the bio-degradable waste products from the Orphanage itself - all
add-up to make this the-first-of-its-kind ‘self sustaining’ housing project in the
country involving orphaned children!!
This is our “Dream Project” that we hope to surprise the children
with and we welcome you to join hands with us in turning this dream into a reality!!
We welcome your support with assurances of ‘Greater Satisfaction’ Thank You!
